Dr Tom Willsher studied at St George's Hospital Medical School, Tooting, qualifying in 1996. After training in surgery specialties he undertook medical repatriations (collecting patients from overseas) and A&E. He became a GP in 2007, and a partner at a large Hampshire practice in 2014. He maintains an interest in orthopaedics and psychiatry. As a proponent of active lifestyles he is keen on promoting health and happiness through mental and physical improvement.

+ Dr Gina Chana

Dr Gina Chana trained at St Bartholomew’s and The Royal London Hospitals’ School of Medicine (2001). She is qualified as a GP, GP Anaesthetist and holds a Diploma in Cardiology. She currently works both as a GP and as a Rural Emergency Physician.

Dr Chana has spent several years working in Australia in Acute Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Anaesthesia. After qualifying as a GP, she used her background to practice as a GP Anaesthetist and a GP with an interest in Rural/Remote Medicine.

Dr Chana has a strong interest in travel and used her occupation to work in varied locations including Aboriginal Health in Australia, working with Torres Strait Islanders and The Scottish Highlands. She continues to work adhoc as a Rural Emergency Physician in NHS Highlands, Scotland on a fly in fly out basis.

Dr Chana has always enjoyed the breadth of medicine and the rewarding inter-personal relationships that General Practice has to offer. She is passionate about providing comprehensive, holistic and high quality care to patients.

+ Dr Tanya Ridout

Dr Ridout completed her primary medical qualification in Bulgaria, before moving to England in 2002 where she completed her Foundation Medical Training in the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester.

Dr Ridout trained initially as a medical specialist, then switched to general practice after starting her family. She particularly values and appreciates her relationships with her patients and the breadth of medical knowledge that general practice has given her. She is a partner at a local Hampshire practice.

Dr Ridout holds a postgraduate diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Health and she has a special interest in Women’s Health.

When not at work, Dr Ridout enjoys spending time with her family and walking in the countryside. She is also a member of a Bulgarian folk dancing group which often performs at festivals around the south of England.

+ Dr Jacqui Tuckey

Dr Jacqui Tuckey is a consultant gynaecologist with more than 30 years experience in women’s health, and has held consultant roles in contraception and sexual health, menopause and most recently IVF at a private clinic in Southampton. Dr Tuckey leads our menopause service and is keen to help women understand what is happening during this significant life change, and passionate in enabling them to feel as well as possible.

She listened to and heard what I was saying and asked good questions to gather more information and to clarify the meaning of what was said. + Dr Rina Mohd Adnan

Dr Rina began her medical training in Adelaide, Australia and completed her clinical years in University of Southampton. Since then, she has been working locally in various medical and surgical specialties in Southampton.

After her general practice training, she became a partner at a GP practice on the edge of New Forest since 2017.

She has keen interests in dermoscopy assessment of skin lesions and general dermatology, internal medicine as well as women’s health. On top of her GP qualification she has also completed postgraduate diplomas from the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and in Clinical Dermatology at Queen Mary University of London.

+ Dr Catherine Frankum

Dr Catherine Frankum graduated from Imperial College in 2010. She completed her foundation and GP vocational training in Hampshire and holds postgraduate diplomas in Sexual & Reproductive Health, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Child Health, Geriatric Medicine and the Practical Diploma in Mental Health.

Catherine has worked widely within the region both as a General Practioner and Urgent care Practioner. She is passionate about treating people of all ages from all walks of life. When not at work she enjoys running, modern art and any activities with her 2 young children.

Dr Frankum offers face to face, video consultations and telephone consultations.

Special Interests: Child Health, Geriatrics and Dermoscopy.

+ Gemma Willsher

Co-Founder & Practice Manager

Gemma Willsher Co-Founded the business with Dr Tom Willsher and is our practice manager. She has a degree in modern languages from St Edmund Hall, Oxford University. She honed her business and analytical skills in corporate finance, as an equities broker at JP Morgan, and then Goldman Sachs. After a career break to start a family, Gemma trained in clinical hypnotherapy, and discovered a broader passion for health and wellbeing.

Health Care Assistant & Patient Liaison

Cara Strange is our phlebotomy, injection-giving, ECG-taking expert, with extensive experience in both GP and hospital settings. She provides a mobile service for the comfort and convenience of Winchester GP patients as well as clinics at the Winchester Sports & Leisure Park. Being a true all rounder, she combines this with calm, friendly and efficient telephone and administrative support.
