Winchester GP Menopause Support
Led by Dr Sally Louden
The menopausal phase heralds some profound changes in the female body - physical, emotional and psychological. In fact, 75% of women will experience troubling symptoms, while 25% of women will have severe life changing symptoms. Very sadly, many struggle on without help, or feel that they are wasting their doctor’s time. Meanwhile, conflicting media headlines about the various different treatments, and their side effects, can leave women feeling confused and uncertain as to their options.
Winchester GP is delighted to offer the expertise of Dr Sally Louden, one of only 100 practitioners in the UK with the status of Menopause Specialist. Dr Sally is able to advise on all aspects of menopause management.
Patients are most welcome to consult with Dr Sally on a pay-as-you-go basis, booking appointments by phone or online. We request a 40 minute appointment for an initial consultation. We would encourage you to bring with you any results of investigations you have had elsewhere (privately or NHS) so that we can give you the best care possible. Any investigations undertaken privately will be chargeable, with prices varying according to your individual needs.
Alternatively, Dr Sally has designed a comprehensive support package, comprising unhurried, empathetic consultation time, a range of relevant investigations, and specialist prescribing. The components of the package are outlined below, with related pricing. Individual needs and concerns will always vary, and you can rest assured that your plan will be carefully designed to your specific requirements.
